Harley Street Medical Centre is a training practice with close ties to Keele University Medical School. We train junior doctors, those who have recently qualified and those wishing to be General Practitioners. 

A lot goes on "behind the scenes" with respect to teaching, training, mentoring and assessing, and this is organised by the practice team.

From a patients perspective what does all this mean?

The qualified doctor in training (trainee) may be sitting in with your doctor or your doctor may be sitting in with the trainee! You may be asked to be videoed on occasions. Remember with all of the above you can always say no to any involvement with the trainees.

The trainees are usually with the Practice for between 4 to 6 months and hence you will notice quite a turnover in doctors over the year.
