Clinics & Services

Flu Clinics

Flu Clinics operate between the months of October and February. If you are eligible to receive a Flu vaccination then please contact the surgery to arrange a suitable appointment.

Travel Vaccinations and Advice

Our practice nurses will advise you on the recommendations for your chosen destination and arrange your vaccinations. Please make an appointment as soon as you book your holiday.

Child Development and Vaccinations

All routine developmental checks are carried out at the surgery by the doctors and practice nurse who will discuss the vaccination program with you.

Maternity Care

The midwife will see you regularly at the surgery during your pregnancy, and will visit you at home after the birth. Please make your first appointment with the midwife at 8-10 weeks and ensure that you tell the receptionist that it is your first appointment. Your first appointment will take approximately an hour.

Help to Stop Smoking

Unfortunately, smoking cessation advice is no longer offered at the surgery. Patients who wish to get help to stop smoking are advised to contact Stoke-on-Trent Stop Smoking Service. To find more information about this service, click on the following link.

Well Man and Well Woman Clinics

physio2The practice nurses run these clinics comprising of a check-up and lifestyle advice.

We offer a full range of contraceptive services and sexual health advice. Two of our nurses are trained in contraception and can carry out pill checks, repeat depo-provera injections and provide emergency contraception advice. Pills to prevent a pregnancy can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sex, and are available from Chemists without an appointment.

Please note that coil fitting and removal cannot be done here at the surgery. You would need to call 0300 790 0165 to book in with one of the local outreach clinics.

University students who are wanting to book an appointment for the Depo-provera contraceptive injection will need to inform the receptionist that this is what the appointment is for, so that we do not book these incorrectly.

Disease Management Clinics

Regular reviews of patients with asthma, diabetes and other long-term illnesses are carried out by our practice nurses. You will usually be called in for an appointment during your birthday month.

We offer this service to over 65s, or ill patients who cannot attend the local outreach clinics. Blood tests can only be booked before 11am.
